We are so excited you’ve chosen QU for this next step in your academic journey. Over the coming months—and especially in your first few weeks on campus—you’ll hear a lot about what it means to be part of the Hawk family. This is a time of new beginnings, and we are honored to support you. The Office of Student Development is working hard to prepare for your arrival in August 2025.
Move-In Information
Below are the official move-in dates for new students. A specific check-in time will be emailed to you later this summer.
- Monday, August 4, 2025Ìý– NCAA Football and Women’s Soccer
- Sunday, August 11, 2025Ìý– Sprint Football, Women’s Volleyball, Cheer/Stunt, Dance
- Friday, August 15, 2025Ìý– Band, Men’s Soccer, Cross Country
- Wednesday, August 21, 2025Ìý– All other new students
New Student Orientation
Orientation isÌýmandatoryÌýfor all incoming students. This multi-day experience will help you transition to college life—academically, socially, and personally—and introduce you to QU traditions and resources. You’ll meet fellow students, explore campus life, and learn what being a Hawk means!
- In-Person Orientation: August 21–24, 2025
Hawk Bound: Your Pre-Orientation Event
Before you arrive in August, all new students must attendÌýHawk Bound, our pre-orientation program. During Hawk Bound, you will:
- Review your academic schedule.
- Meet with faculty
- Connect with Student Financial Services
- Tour the campus and meet key staff
You only need to attend one session.
Students must pay their enrollment fee to sign up for Hawk Bound and complete their housing contract.
Hawk Bound Dates
Check-in: 12:30–12:45 p.m. | Program: 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Online Hawk BoundÌý(for students who live more than 5 hours away or international students):
